Ongarue Cottage and Olive Cabin is a little piece of paradise in the heart of New Zealand's North Island, situated at the end of the famous Timber Trail Great Ride.  ​

Ongarue Cottage - Guests have use of a century old Ongarue Cottage built of native timbers:  The Cottage  has five bedrooms, four are accessed in the Cottage, and the Fifth with its Private Access at the Back of the Cottage.  Three of the Bedrooms in the Cottage are with ensuite bathrooms and one with a seperate bathroom.  The Fifth Bedroom (the Kowhai Room) has ensuite bathroom, a bar fridge, coffee pod machine, jug, tea and coffee making. We supply a continental breakfast, an example of what is included is:  Weetbix, Muesli, Yoghurt, Fruit, Bread, Butter, Homemade Jam/Jelly, local Honey, and Free Range Eggs (when available) for you to cook.  There is also Juice, English Breakfast Tea, Coffee pod machine (and pods) Plunger Coffee and Instant Coffee and Milk.

There is a shared kitchen/dining area and lounge (unless you book the whole house), with outside BBQ and outdoor dining option.

Olive Cabin - is a self contained one bedroom ensuited cabin.  Private, with a beautiful outlook across our Olive Grove.  Queen Bed with ensuite.  Lounge, featuring a two seater couch.  Kitchen is fully equipped with hot plate to cook on, full fridge/freezer, Coffee Pod machine (and pods), Kettle, outdoor BBQ.  We supply a continental breakfast, an example of what is included is:  Weetbix, Muesli, Yoghurt, Fruit, Bread, Butter, Homemade Jam/Jelly, local Honey, and Free Range Eggs (when available) for you to cook.

Apart from cycling, our region offers many, many spectacular adventures and tourist attractions (see Blog" and "See & Do" pages above).  Our grounds include nearly 2 hectares (over 3 acres) of gardens, orchards, olives and grassland, flowing down to a natural spring-fed stream on one boundary and the trout-filled Ongarue River on another.
